Earth Wind & Fire

Got a phone call from Hayley tonight, her flatmate was going to be late home and her boyfriend who was going to visit her, had to fix his dads car so I said she could come out on a blip search with me since she had been normand (left on her own)

We were up the Pentlands and you would never believe how windy and cold it was. I had my fleece on and I was still freezing. I showed Hayley the Castlelaw Fort and she was most impressed, thought she would be as she is studying archaeology at University.

When we were on our way back down the hill, I noticed the sun had started to sink in the sky and it was like the sky was on fire over the top of the hills. The wind was that strong, to get a steady shot I had to kneel on a big clump of earth which helped me escape from the wind.

What a magical sight it was to see the sky lit up in such a dramatic way, we had the earth; the wind and the fire tonight, so why not a wee song from the band of that name. This is quite apt as it is September.
