Diary of an Edinburgher

Quick job

A gym visit (10 mins cross trainer, 20 mins bike) and then (after a shower of course) off to meet a pal for a coffee. Unfortunately, my face was still bright red from my exertions. Exertion good. Beetroot face over coffee not good.

JR waited in for the washing machine man. The machine had gone haywire - all the programmes were wrong, it needed re-setting with the laptop, as they did once before.

However, the washing machine man saw right away what was wrong, and he didn't need his laptop. The little knob was right round the opposite way. How odd. How did that happen? It must have been his speediest job in a while ever. Just as well it was still under guarantee.

In the afternoon we went up the hill to meet up with Bailey and her mum. The dogs had a good run around while we sat on the bench and had a gossip. Certainly not as windy as yesterday when we could hardly stand up. Actually, Bailey and her mum had been up on top of the Pentlands (seen in the background) yesterday!

We were then invited back to Janet's for a cuppa and home made flapjacks -yum yum.
