I'm currently working on an instrument from a competitor that we bought out last year. I have to do a mass loss check from a propane bottle and on our version of this instrument we use glow plugs to light the burners so not a problem.
On this version the burners are lit with a propane pilot burner that takes it's supply from the same source as the main burner. This would introduce an inaccuracy into the measurement and so we came up with a low tech solution.
