BBQ Days
The garden is equipped with one of those concrete BBQs with a chimney. We tried it out again today.
The bread in the photo is Pane di Mugello. It has a hard crust and keeps well. Delicious toasted over the charcoal with a bit of olive oil and salt.
The wine is a prosecco frizzante from the local wine shop. He pours it out and corks it off by the bottle at €3. It has a very soft bubble to it and is most refreshing.
The onions are from Calabria in the far south and they have their own IGP - georgrapically protected area - as a brand. Brought by the Greeks and perfected by the Moors who inhabited this part of Italy for some time it is called the cipolla di Tropea.
The chicken is locally raised - from the co-op in Sieci. As are the veg.
Rosemary and sage in abbondanza from the garden.
Happy Days
