No hanging about, now.
This beech branch caught my eye with the fleeting sun on it. I was amazed (again) at how quickly the growing season moves on from flower to fruit. Already the autumn's beech mast is beginning to grow.
What a wonderful time of year even with the cool northerlies blowing overhead.
(I didn't put those runner bean plants out and I felt sorry for the sheep in the Alkham valley who have already been to the shearer.)
