Boxed
Unidentified visitor. body 3.5 cm long, total length around 13 cm (ultra-poisonous Brazilian Wandering Spider, less deadly wolf spider - or ??) Either way, we didn't care for his position right by HH's side of the bed, so he's now in a large plastic box, to be taken over the hills and far away tomorrow. Our caretaker was less merciful with its mate last week... Let's just hope there aren't hundreds of babies around. When our nephew, wife and two little boys visited us two years ago, I had to deal with an invasion of many dozens of baby spiders, swarming round the door from the outside and into the boys' bedroom. They appeared to be juvenile Wandering spiders and I'm afraid I killed as many as I could. Far too dangerous and much too close for comfort - even after my reluctant killing spree, a few probably escaped and could be lurking in dark corners.
HH's hip was hurting, so no golf today. That should have left plenty of time for chores, but I don't think either of us was very effective - while not managing to relax and enjoy ourselves either. Still, it was a beautiful day, so can't complain. And we did have a lovely day yesterday.
