Island Queen Textures
Day off today which is strange as I only went back to work yesterday.
Not a promising start to the day.
For a change we headed to Tayinloan stopping at the farm stall at Bellochantuy for local eggs and fresh milk from Gigha. At Tayinloan we had a walk along the beach and got the last of the sunshine in which to get our shots of Island Queen.
I've gone for a shot of the weathered textures.
When we walked back along the beach the rain was starting. We popped into Big Jessie's tearoom and had an early lunch. While we were eating the heavens opened and the rain was very heavy for a while. Thankfully the rain was a lot lighter by the time we went to get the car to come home, and it was off by the time we got back home. This afternoon the sun has come out.
Later I did some more work on my rag rug and worked on a painting of the little cottages by the water at Carskey.
