Brush fire at cliff edge
I had luckily taken my camera with me this evening when I went to pick Emma up from her friend's house. When we reached the coast road, we could see a plume of smoke rising from the cliff, so we raced to the scene and found the bushes alight. In an alternative reality, I would love to have said it was just down from the Novelty Rock Emporium, but it was in fact not far from Beach Cafe No 5.
A group of people were already watching the smoke rise (is this what they mean by come home to a real fire?), and within minutes the fire engine arrived, a hose was passed down the cliff and the bushes were soon dowsed.
