Today we took a long round trip to the Phobjika Valley, deeper into Bhutan. The main road was indescribably bad due to extensive roadworks but once we turned off to the side roads it was beautiful. We also saw a rare Black-necked Crane. Usually they are not here at their famous roosting sites at this time of year but this one was injured.
