Colours of the Cotswolds
Slept ok, up showered, breakfasted, packed, car loaded and on the road by 11..........no rush as we cant check in until after 3.30pm.
Weather is still grey wet and windy, but by the time we were south of Birmingham, it had stopped raining, well at least as much!! We stopped off for a light lunch in Wootton Wowan, at the Navigation Inn, by the canal. A place weve been to a couple of times before.
We headed for Stratford with the intention of stopping for an hour or so, but by the time we got there it was school pick up time, traffic extremely busy, instead we stopped in Shipton on Stour, a nice little village with lots of quiant shops......we walked up towards the river but it was quite muddy underfoot, so instead we walked up a lane inbetween the rapeseed fields, as you can see in todays blip.
We checked in, the B&B is lovely, very bright an airy bedroom, gorgoeus ensuite, with a mahoosive bath!! We have had a meal in the Black Bear this evening, all very nice. Hub is having trouble with a tooth. Its been troublesome on and off for a few weeks. Our dentist is adamant there is nothing wrong, but sods law, its flared up yesterday and is giving him some jip, typical isnt it :-/
Th forecast for tomorrow isnt great.......Heading for Hidcote Manor all being well.
