Goodbye and good luck

We were country dancing this morning and it was a farewell event for our caller of the last several years, Margaret, who is now retiring.  She can no longer dance, after many years of dancing since the days she was a Brownie, a Guide, at teaching college, and in many clubs since.  She taught country dancing to her school students, and has done much to promote the discipline.

We had a lovely morning, with a cake, a beautiful bouquet.  She was given a monetary gift, and also a CD of some of her favourite tunes.  It was a happy but rather poignant morning, as she will miss it, but her health will not allow her to continue....... and as she said, she can't remember the dances any more!!!!

A really wet morning, we were lucky on our weekend away!
