New Recruits
I was up at 4.30 this morning helping out at a triathlon for newbies.
My club run a course over 12 weeks for beginners to triathlon and the final day is....race day.
22 very nervous people. I know how they feel as I did this last year with my son.
It was a great turn out by club members who volunteered to help. I really enjoyed it as it gave us time to catch up too. When we train there isn't much chatting time as we all want to get home afterwards.
I was put in the pool to help out but ended up taking hundreds of photos.
I've downloaded them and they now need sorting out.
Most of my club then went over to Trifarm for a swim. I had to go to work. Miffed about that as I'd have prefer to get a bit more training in. I was asked to cover so couldn't say no as I've just recently needed cover myself.
Came home and Andy cooked a wonderful meal. Much appreciated.
The pic is the newbies and club members. I wonder how many of the newbies will join and be there this time next year helping more newbies. It's a great club. I love the friendships I've made. We are a very friendly bunch and really do support each other. I love that the mixture of ages all get along too. I think I'll be paying my membership for a very long time.
