The old Ruckle homestead

I went for an early morning walk at Ruckle Park.  I had the trails to myself and only saw a few campers.  What a great way to start the day!  It looked like it might rain but there were only a few sprinkles just as I headed back to the car.  It was cold enough to wear gloves, and the campers in the extra were dressed warmly as they packed up.  I liked the howling wolves on the woman's sweater.
This is the old house built by Henry Ruckle in the 1870s.  What a beautiful place to live - and we're so lucky that the area is now a provincial park.
Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are celebrating it today!  We had a delicious dinner at Auntie Pesto's last night.  Our daughter and Kalyn called me this morning, and Krista sent me a Happy Mother's Day message from California.  :)
