Gathering

Moving ewes and lambs at the farm where we manage the livestock out of the silage fields and into a hill park. Quite a busy picture with wind turbine, husband and Breagh, Rusty, Bud (just) and sheep spilling all over! And check out that blue sky. The sheep were moments ago down with me and then a few lambs broke back thinking their mums were on the hill so the whole lot went back. After 3 failed attempts at the gate the 4th saw them all go through. Always difficult with young lambs and these are first time lambers too. Also I couldn't use Pip as she has a pulled muscle in her shoulder. A repercussion of previous injury from her being a puppy which flares from time to time. Both her and I were disappointed not to be working together. Breagh had to work hard to make up for Pip not being there. Here is a wee video of Breagh casting out round some sheep. Thankfully the second lot in the other field being older and wiser went straight out the gate and up the track the right way. After a stroll on the beach Pip came out on a lead for that.(pic in extra)
