Feeding Frenzy

We went for our usual jaunt to the river this afternoon after a couple of false starts as showers came through.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this flotilla of Pelicans and small black cormorants in a swirling frenzy that went on for about half an hour. It went from one side of the river to the other a couple of times and other birds joined in as it got more exciting ;o)

In my extra you can see a few great egrets on the shore looking keen to join in and some seagulls thinking the same thing as the frenzy continues in the water, it was an amazing sight!!
