Smoky Saturday

When we woke up this morning the whole town was filled with thick smoke from controlled burns around the outskirts of the suburbs.

It hung around until mid afternoon, cleared for while and has now swept back in and is expected to stay until tomorrow. Storms are forecast for tomorrow so hopefully that will be the end of it cough cough!!

I got together with my sons today to celebrate Mothers Day. We had a long afternoon tea with cakes and cups of tea, presents and lots of laughter - it was wonderful ;o)

The shot is of the big gate at my sons house. Hardly took any pics as we tried to stay inside most of the day out of the smoke!
