Sitting for her portrait
A sweet Black Capped Chickadee posed so nicely for me earlier today. They are such cheerful and busy little sprites, our Massachusetts State bird.
The little family is still tucked into their hospital room. Nora is waking up to the world, she was up quite a bit last night cluster feeding Sarah said. A sweet healthy newborn with a good appetite.
Our piazza and flagpole painting is complete, just in time for a huge nor'easter rainstorm tomorrow on Mother's Day, Sarah's first.
Thank you for all the loving comments about little Nora Joanne.
Extra, A photograph taken of Nora Jo's mother, Sarah on the day she came home from the hospital almost 32 years ago. She's on my parents' back porch in her great grandmother Nora's arms. Nora was 88. Now Sarah has Nora's engagement ring diamond on her own finger and a baby named for this lovely woman and her husband David's late mother, Joanne. Generations of love linked by names showering down on this new little one.
For the Record,
This day came in cloudy and cool, but the rain held off so our painters could finish.
All hands happy, but now N. Korea has launched something else...who knows what 45 will do now.
