Colony Of Gannets
A last trip to Bempton Cliffs today before heading south again tomorrow. The weather was windy but milder, so less of an endurance test! Mum and I were overwhelmed by the sheer volume of gannets! These birds may not look particularly big but they are huge with a wingspan of up to 2 metres!
The rest of the day was spent enjoying the beautiful countryside in and around Dalby Forest in the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire, England. That definitely deserves a return visit sometime......
As ever, I am most grateful for all the great comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's blip - Whitby Abbey!
Hope you're having a great weekend!
Ann :))
