A collage of our day
Today is apparently World Whisky Day so we climbed, with Colin, who
we met when doing the Cuillin Ridge in Skye, Ben Rinnes, a Corbett of almost 3000ft, as from the top it is possible to see at least 26 distilleries. But not today - we could barely see each other, the cloud was so low. We were down in good time so after saying goodbye to Colin, who had put us last night, we drove to the Moray Coast.
We had a walk down to Pennan, one of the locations in the film Local Hero. It was now a lovely sunny afternoon.
We drove further east till we found s perfect spot to park up for the night. I cooked us an aubergine, mushroom and chickpea curry for supper. We were both hungry after the 6 miles on the hill.
The sea is a few yards from the van so we have lovely views of that - and the noise of the waves rolling up the beach to lull us to sleep.
