An oldie and a goodie

Spotted this beautiful big rhododendron in flower in Glenmore Road this morning, en route to Tesco from the library. 

I suspect that the garden in which it's growing might be the remains of a larger property - there are several gardens like that round here where sections of ground have been sold off for building. Must investigate next time I'm passing and it's not raining!

Didn't I say? It's raining very lightly this morning - first time in weeks!
