Big City View

We have been in Seattle, WA for a couple of days and continue to marvel at the difference in what we have come to accept and what we are currently experiencing. Everything seems so big, so organized, so modern. There is no question if the lights will come on when the switch is flipped, little question as to the intent of the car ahead on the freeway (most use their turn indicators without fail), and never a question the check will arrive the minute you finish desert. There is no denying the view of a big city at night is awe inspiring, like this view from the 11th floor of our hotel, but we are more accustomed to a view of palm trees, not tall buildings.
