Habitat

I had a trip out this afternoon to look for Green Hairstreak Butterflies. When I got to the location, it was a bit too breezy. The clue was in the road name: Wind Hill Lane. Instead of butterflies on the bilberry bushes, there were wrens, meadow pipits and chaffinch. At one point I had a close encounter with a cuckoo, which I'd heard calling from beyond the woodland to my right. It flew out, calling loudly, and flew close over my head before landing in another  stand of trees on the other side, sadly too far away for a clear photo. It's in extras.
