Or, if you like, taking tickets at the door - the door of St John's Church Dunoon. Our choir, 8+1, gave a fund-raising concert there tonight - the proceeds from which will help us to go on doing charity gigs the rest of the time.

It's so exhilarating, to sing to a packed hall of appreciative people - and enormously rewarding to hear a quiet sigh from someone at the end of a piece that has touched them - that magic moment before the applause begins. I shall miss it when the time comes to give up - but it's not arrived yet!
