Salving my conscience
After my self indulgence of treating myself to a lardy cake from the Farmers’ Market yesterday, I reckoned I should salve my conscience by sticking to something from my collection of healthy menus.
Mind you, dressed crab — also from the Farmers’ Market — doesn’t appear anywhere in my post hospital list of recommended dietary food.
Still salad is always a safe bet and I prefer mine with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which means that it is close to the Mediterranean menu which always find favour among the healthy foods dieticians.
It happened that a few days ago I came across the suggestion and recipe for baked new potatoes with crab. Perhaps the preparation of the salad and what went into it was a trifle more elaborate than mine, yet nevertheless it was an interesting and tasty variation of presenting and savouring seafood.
