Sunday scones

Today's highlight was a belated birthday treat from friend Christina - coffee and scone at Oakwood. Sitting outside in the sun was an added bonus.

I suggested taking a rain check because Christina is sooo busy, not only working full-time but also caring for her elderly parents, both of whom are in and out of hospital, and Chrissie has health problems of her own. Not that you'd know, because she radiates health and happiness.

She insisted, however, and we enjoyed the natter for an hour before going our separate ways, she to visit her mum and dad in Glasgow, me to relieve Minty of his watch-dog duties.
