Horrid hill!

After our Thai lunch in Rochester we went to Gillingham pier and then riverside country park on the medway. A short walk along the peninsula to Horrid hill to look over the salt marshes and on towards Essex, this is where my photo was taken. Not much there or on the Internet to explain why is called Horrid hill, other than to say a cement works used to be there!
