Coloured part of the eye
Slept really well, was soooo tired last night, but still didnt go to bed until midnight!!
Yet another gloriously sunny blue sky kind of day....and hurrah, no cold wind today!! In fact, it has been warm, needed some sunscreen today, to avoid the old red hooter ;-)
After going to collect the papers, and a walk back, we had coffee and a relaxed hours reading, in the garden. I then popped indoors to make a marinade for our leg of lamb, one of Tom Kerridges spiced concoctions.... currently just finishing off in the oven, having had four hours, smells divine :-)
Back in the garden, planted up a couple of lovely raspberry coloured dianthus in our rockery border, two firework begonias into individual containers, whilst hub was planting up a few more strawberries he had bought.
Then back indoors for our lunch, dippy eggs with seeded sourdough toast soldiers and a cuppa. Afterwards, Hub stayed on to watch his team on tv.....got a decent drawer against Liverpool so,he was happy, cant say the same for me!!
I went out with my camera to snap a couple of things that have just opened up in the sunhsine, particularly love this Iris. Then on to plant up our hanging baskets, two yesterday & another two today, plus two window boxes....... still got two troughs to do by the front door, but need more plants!! I went in to watch my team v Arsenal, wish I hadnt bothered, an abysmal performance, didnt deserve to get anything from the game.
We are both indoors now.......just put two jacket potatoes into the oven, whilst the lamb is finishing off.......going to have stir fried purple sprouting broccoli and fresh carrots on the side........oh, and creme brulee for dessert.
The weather has clouded up a little now, but we've both caught the sun today........hope the sun shone where you are :-)
