ofo bikes

A new bike rental company has just opened in Cambridge called ofo bikes. Instead of going to a shop to rent them, you can find them all around town with a number on the top. You enter the number into an app on your phone, it sends you a code, and you use the code to unlock the bike. 

As it's new here, rides are free at the moment so I thought I'd check it out. The bike was extremely heavy and quite difficult to ride and steer - although a lot of that was because I couldn't work out how to raise the seat! It's also quite a controversial business, as you just leave the bike wherever you want and they often get dumped. I'm also not keen on bike rentals without a helmet, especially as a lot of people who rent bikes are very dangerous and don't know how to cycle them at all. 

We'll have to wait and see if it stays, but it was nice to try it out either way :)
