Scots in the Rockies

On our way to hiking in the Rocky Mountain national park, we came across this Irish-Scottish festival.

Hearing bagpipes and seeing burly men with hairy legs sporting skirts kilts against the backdrop of the Rockies, was to say the least, surprising. I'm hoping the picture is of Scots rather than Irishmen. I asked how one can tell and was told various things from the length of the kilts to the actual body shape of the men. Let me know if there's a fast rule to distinguish one from the other.

There was a very touching moment: 150 bagpipers, drummers and marines marched into the open-air stadium, playing Amazing Grace as a 9/11 tribute. That version always has my hairs stand on end.
