Sweet & Sticky
Today I rode my bike to Bartram's Garden where an annual honey-fest was just ending. The place is always beutiful but just now it's in its full ripeness and glory. I gathered a sack of osage oranges, like the one Ceridwen blipped here two years ago. I chatted with a few people and enjoyed the perfect summer afternoon, as beekeepers began stowing their wares and selling a few last jars of golden goo.
I was intending to blip an image of an osage bough, heavy with fruit (the first time I've been so close to them thus) which I brought home, cut up, and planted around the back yard. But I can't pass up the chance to share this little scene, which came by surprise.
