Final Exam For The Flies
Our local Curio Theater holds summer classes (or a summer camp?) where it teaches young actors. Tonight they polished off a short run of Lord Of The Flies in the park. I arrived after the show began just to take pictures, and it was clear that everything was going very well and the players were all on their way to long careers in the footlights. The weather was perfect, which is a relief after days of heavy rain and two cancelled performances.
This makes two free plays that are performed in Clark Park, the other being an independent group that produces five or six evenings of a Shakespeare play, running for several summers now. There is nothing going on around here that's more popular.
I chose this as my blip over some that included the rising moon, but this one made the cut for showing the young actors in a moment of their achievement.
