The information superhighway....

This is the very latest in internet connectivity.... the (quite lovely) men have been outside putting the fibre cables.  We passed two men who were each in a hole, either side of the road, heads just about at ground level - they were feeding the cabling under the road, without digging the road up. 

This morning I almost made one of the classic faux pas... A friend who I haven't seen at the baby groups for about a month was looking a little larger than I remembered, on second looks, she also had maternity jeans on and what looked like quite a round tummy.... We were chatting away and she asked what was new - surely, surely this is code for 'there's something I have to tell you'.  Nope, nothing telling. We moved on, and she told me how she didn't have any clean jeans and was in maternity jeans.... Ummmm.  A narrow escape, unless there's something she isn't telling me!

First exam for the student today - apparently it went well. He needs 13% to pass as the mark is combined with his assignment mark in that subject.  Think he's aiming for a little higher.. 6 more exams to go.

Just sent off latest bit of work. Always makes me nervous sending work off.
