Enjoying the Sunshine

Typical! The day we leave, the sun comes out:-). So as to give MiL a bit of fresh air, we drove to Lee on the Solent again and sat outside by the sea for half an hour. It wasn't quite as warm as we'd hoped, but very pleasant anyway.

Then it was home for lunch before saying our fond farewlls. Always difficult to say goodbye as who knows if we'll see her again, given her age (93) and general state of health. But we take comfort from the fact that we said this last year and the year before:-)

A boring drive up the motorways, still with their miles of road works and endless convoys of lorries (I blame online ordering!) until we reached our overnight stop at Warrington. Should be home again tomorrow pm, so will catch up with you all then.
