The pond

Just at the back of Roo is our little pond, we have a frog in there at the moment but it doesn't come out that much.

We also have a good selection of birds that visit the garden, sparrows, starling, robins, nuthatches, gold finches a green finch, wood peckers and blackbirds and great tits, blue tits and long tail tits, I'm becoming quite an expert now on spotting the different birds.

Today whilst out by my car I heard a lot of squealing and looked over to see a sparrowhawk holding onto one of my blackbirds, I ran over so fast I startled it into dropping the blackbird and both flew off in different directions later I did see the male and female blackbird but have only seen the female tonight in the garden and they both usually visit me about now.

Fingers crossed I'm hoping I saved him.
