The rest of forever...

Dog Sitter

I didn't have such a deep sleep last night, waking at 2am, 4am and 6am...I think my brain was worried about sleeping in! I got up before 7am to stretch, pack and head to breakfast. I sat next to an 87 year old gentleman who was exceedingly interesting and we talked about history, philosophy, education and psychology. I think the part of the weekend experience I have enjoyed the most is meeting older people and learning from their experiences and wisdom. They accumulate so much knowledge...I'm going to enjoy retirement one day and the chance to learn so much more about 'stuff'!

We had two 90 minute lectures this morning and afterwards I skipped lunch to head home. I stopped at Downtown for a quick mooch and then to Waitrose for the weekly shop. Home, unpack, change and straight to the gym for my intervals session. My body was a little jaded, it much prefers exercising first thing in the morning! I went to pick up the hounds...this is Sam, my colleagues son, who has done an awesome job at looking after the dogs since Thursday night. They were all so happy and Rags was like a puppy again, bouncing about and being so excited! Since I got them home and fed they have been zonked out...the sign of a good weekend!! I'm ready to go to bed but the closing ceremony is on. Think I might watch a few minutes but I have to see the underside of my duvet by 9.30pm!
