Rocky

He's home. A message on a local group on Facebook, shared more than 100 times, has tracked down the lost cat's owner, and he's happily been reunited with a young girl who was missing him very much indeed.

It turns out that he lives nearby, and went walkabout on Friday, so by the time we found him yesterday he had probably not eaten for two days. No wonder he was so hungry! His name is Rocky, and he's only nine months old. He has used up one of his nine lives in a near-miss with a car yesterday lunchtime.

While here he made himself very much at home, and was our house guest overnight, but when I put him out in the garden again this morning to find his way home, he appeared not to know where to go. A couple of hours later I found him cowering under our hedge. So he came back in for a few more hours while we set about tracking down who he belongs to.

I do like a happy ending, and our two cats seem relieved that the fluffy young interloper has now departed!
