Birnbeck Pier

Did our final packing and set off around 10 am for the first leg of our trip to Cornwall. We got to Weston super Mare around lunchtime and found a cup of coffee and lunch before we checked into the hotel. Didn't get a room with a sea view and the ferris wheel this time but it was fine for our purposes. Went for a walk along the beach and discovered the ruined Birnbeck pier. It looked like a horror film set but was beautiful against the blue skies and sea. Fantastic walk along the long beach with a St George's day scout parade and marching bands thrown in.
