Determination

I have started getting more serious with my running this week. I have been running for the last 25++ years, with the occasional break due to having 3 munchkins.

Sometimes I am disciplined and make running a priority.
Sometimes I use every excuse in the book to do something other than running.
Sometimes I train a bit to run a 5 or 10K.
Sometimes I am just happy if I can get myself out the door.

But through it all I have never stopped and never plan to.

This week I decided to start "training" again. Starting with a 5K in a few weeks, hopefully with a longer term goal of a 1/2 marathon by next spring. It has only a been a week, and I already feel better. Running is truly good for my body and soul. I honestly do it more for my mind than for my body. It clears my head, improves my disposition and the only time I can really think!

This morning started sunny and cool - perfect for a run. But ended with a sudden downpour that soaked me to the skin. But I love running in the rain so it was all good!
