Tiny Alice's 1st birthday.

We were honoured to be invited to Alice's first birthday party.

I particularly liked the Adult Medication Room ( top left pic ) and paid several visits to it!

The kids ate a minimal amount in a teepee in the garden, then the adults were treated to a large amount of pizzas, which the kids didn't seem in the slightest bit interested in!

To be fair, Alice's big brother Jack pretty much took care of the older kids, whilst the younger ones were jointly watched over by whoever was nearest.

A very pleasant afternoon, which we sadly had to leave earlier than we would have liked as Sav needed to get home to bed as he had a night shift ahead of him.

As we said goodbye, Alice's dad insisted I had a G&T for the road, and some olives. I've never left an adult party with a paper cup of G&T in one hand, and another with olives in it in the other, nevermind a child's one before!

Sav chose to drive home via the M6 and risk getting held up by roadworks instead of taking the more windy, rougher surfaced route home so that I wouldn't spill my drink, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is true love in action!

The extra shows me breaking 2 rules in Sav's van - no drinking and no operating a mobile phone ... ;-)
