Nearly summer

There are some 210 species of magnolia, and we have three of them in our garden. The spiky-flowered white one blooms first at the start of spring, then the big tree with pale pink blossom is a magnificent sight in early April, and now this deep red one announces that summer is almost here. Such a beauty!
