I Wasn't Expecting This!

Took a trip to Cottonwood Canyon this morning. It was snowing a little bit when we left. As we went further up into the mountains it was coming down pretty heavy. We had a couple of stops on the way up to take photos. On one of the stops there were fresh coyote paw prints in the snow. We must have just missed him.
Further up it got deeper and deeper. In parts it was higher than the van we were in.
We reached a ski resort called Solitude which was a perfect name for it. It wasn't open as the snow wasn't expected. It was beautiful up there.
I'd love to come back and ski here.
We came back down, got changed and went out to a big shopping centre. Bit of a contrast. Some lovely things to buy but shops are shops. I wouldn't have gone but needed to pick up a gift for someone at our next stopover.
We came back to hotel and went to the gym. It's huge. Then had a swim and jacuzzi. That was really nice.
Changed once again and went out for one of the best meals I've ever had. I really need to get a grip as my weight is spiralling out of control. Why does food which tastes so yummy always pile on the pounds.
Will pack first thing and take off to Montana in the morning. I'll see my son again. I haven't seen him since Christmas.
