Early morning on the Sussex Boundary Way
Up at 6am for the best part of the day. Walked four miles through the dewy fields surrounded by curious sheep and to my knees in the deliciously cool wet grass. The temperature was already 16 degrees when I set out, 18 when I returned. Later, when we popped down to Bodiam to watch the triathlon competitors swim round the moat, it had reached 30 degrees. I am a cold weather animal, not liking how the heat saps my energy. However, maybe the enforced rest is good for me. I certainly feel I have slipped into another gear. Later we plan to pop down to Rye - may pop back later to update.
We went to Winchelsea instead of Rye and wandered along the shingle beach enjoying the cool sea breeze. Took some of the best images of the day here, mainly of the flinty pebbles.
GOOD THINGS:
The dewy pearl drops on the spiders' webs - dam it, I took the wrong lens on my walk!
Sheep - not sure which breed, but I love their stolid faces
The quiet, contemplative nature of the day
EXERCISE DIARY:
1. Early morning walk
2. Well...maybe I peaked too soon!
