The usual start to a Saturday with +1/3 and +2/3 going for their swimming lesson however after that +2/3 had her first riding lesson (I would post a link here however BT are yet again demonstrating why they're the world leader in providing crap ADSL; I suspect they're replaced some of their hardware around the Edinburgh area with a few pieces of wet string) then straight through to Largs to see an aerobatic display marking the end of the Viking Festival (in case you don't know, The Battle of Largs in 1263 was the battle at which King Haco was defeated and the Vikings were ousted from Scotland).

The display by the RAF was performed by my old next door neighbour and school mate Scott Loughran (now Squadron Leader Loughran!). Afterburners: check. Tight turns with shocks: check. Lots of noise: check.

The mist being formed over the wings is caused by shock formation over the wings.

We can away with an inflatable Eurofighter. Very cool!
