Glasgow

The name conjures up - to me at least - fairly grim images but the truth, or at least what we saw of it today, is very different. The West End is a very civilized part of the city with some excellent museums. Sore legs and knees did not help the movement but notwithstanding that, some of the painting in particular were impressive. Not sure I'd heard of Samuel Peploe but his work was stunning.
A curry helped the day move on and then after a return train journey to the guesthouse, a quick flit to Edinburgh IKEA looking at kitchens. The impressive Bo'ness Castle and the Four Marys in Linlithgow on our return made for a busy day.
