Not a day to travel

but travel we did....
Snow at home in the morning and strong winds meant the boat was delayed. DS#2 had a plane connection to make and so booked a flight rather than come with us to Glasgow. Wise choice.
The boat was delayed and spent an age to moor up. We ended up on the mezzanine deck and so were the last but one vehicle off. With snow settling on the roads on Skye, we remained resolutely behind a stream of slow traffic. On the mainland it perked up a bit but still plenty of snow about - the image is of the Clunie ridge.
After a fairly long drive we got to the guesthouse just gone ten. DS#2 took just over three hours to go three times further than we went in eight hours. Not a great day....
