Thinking more visually

Edinburgh castle

Seen from the fifth floor of a hotel in the Grassmarket (now I know why their function suite was on the fifth floor!) We had watched the sky darken and the floodlights become more obvious throughout the evening.

I was attending a fundraising dinner for Christians Against Poverty. After about ten years of supporting them in various ways, including abseiling from the Finnieston crane in Glasgow or running in and organising teams for the Edinburgh Marathon Relay, they are still the most passionate, amazing bunch of people I have ever had anything to do with.

Voted "best debt counselling in the UK" last year, they have also won the "Sunday Times Best Small Company to work for" award two years in succession - not bad for a Christian charity.

CAP offer debt counselling through local churches, supporting clients holistically, putting together a three or five year repayment plan or supporting a client through insolvency. They manage payments for clients so that they can make a single monthly payment and CAP sees that the right people get the right money. They now have a huge standing in the financial world as well and are just generally awesome. I could go on at length, check out their website!!

On Saturday CAP raised over £65,000 towards this work :-)
