Blustery Weather!

Another wild day!  Horrendous gales all day, with sleet and hail mixed in!  Mike was off to Aberdeen and had to leave at 6am for the first plane, and didn't get back until nearly 10pm because of the delays to flights.  

Ollie and I dodged the showers and managed a good blustery walk but it was hard going when we turned back and into the wind.  Difficult to put one foot in front of the other, and make any progress at all!  Lovely seeing all the snow still on the Hoy hills and the sea turquoise and covered with white horses.  Not the weather for taking a camera out unfortunately!

Pity the poor folk on the Aberdeen to Orkney/Shetland ferry, who two hours into the journey had to turn back when the boat got damaged by the weather.  They are due to arrive at their destinations 12 hours behind schedule . . . .  

We're off on our travels again on Thursday, so blipping and commenting will be disrupted.   There's an extra of Ollie to keep you going!  And a view looking out at the bay between the showers.
