Andreas Blank, one of the farmers in the village and the owner of the milk filling station as well as our hay supplier in the summer, out inspecting his field for weeds, especially docks.

The quality of his hay shows the result of his efforts. When the weather gets warm and we can't feed any haylage but the horses need some dried grass to supplement the fresh grass, we hope that Andreas still has some bales left over from the previous year.

Andreas, apart from the daily work with his milking herd is also very actively involved in the breeding of the Original and Swiss Brown cows. Added to that he's also very active in an advisory capacity on issues connected with the environment and the well being of the rural community. He was on TV last year, has just done a bit on radio and at the end of the month another TV broadcast.
