Surprises

With the threat of torrential downpours in the wake of yesterday's gails I completed the dog's walks in double quick time. Chatting to my neighbour at an early hour revealed that she's had walked to town and back almost before the shops had opened! As I sit watching the darkening sky it's likely that further dog walks will result in a thorough soaking. The addition of hailstone was not, I think, predicted. Lazy days, such as this, which involve sitting and watching the grey clouds gallop across the sky between reading and browsing the news are a real treat. Both dogs are sleeping but if there is a gap in the weather it will mean another walk!

Without much forethought I was scrolling through the options on my camera to discover as yet, untried functions. This photo would have been singularly uninteresting and I wouldn't have considered it but I really like the pencil effect. I'll probably see what else I can do with this over the next few blips.
