Costa Brava SwimRun Marathon

As we were setting out on our morning walk we noticed people swimming across the bay in pairs. When we arrived at the next village they were getting out of the sea and after a quick drink,heading off running along the coastal path.When they got to another bay it was back to swimming again and so on.
We checked the event out and discovered it was the Costa Brava SwimRun Marathon.It covers a total distance of 42 k. It started at 8am and the competitors had 11 hours to complete the course. It looked gruelling as a lot of the running is over rocky terrain.
